Amanda Ferry letters, 1824, 1830.

Letter fragments from the wife of Reverend William M. Ferry, the first Protestant missionary on Mackinac Island, describing a gathering of about 1600 Indians on the island (June 29, 1824) and a tea party at the home of Robert Stuart and his wife (July 30, 1830). Stuart was an employee of the American Fur Company.
